Certified Running Analyst.
The MoveIQ Academy teaches the method behind the measurements: how to film a runner, what to measure, and how to read the numbers together. It is self-paced and runs in your browser. You work through the course material, practise as often as you like, sit graded assessments, and finish with a certificate that has its own public page, so anyone you show it to can check it for themselves.
How it is taught
Observe, measure, interpret, communicate.
The course is sequenced the way an analysis runs, and the graded chapters follow the same order. Each stage leans on the one before it, so the material can be read straight through or picked up at the step you need.
- 01
Observe
Learn the words for what you are looking at, and what a stride is made of, before you put a number on any of it.
- 02The language of running mechanics
- 03The running gait cycle
- 04Assessing mechanics: foot, knee, hip, upper body
- 02
Measure
Film it so the measurement means something, then work an analysis end to end and take the readings region by region.
- 05Capturing good footage
- 06Running an analysis in MoveIQ, step by step
- 07Measuring
- 03
Interpret
Read the measurements against each other and against the reference ranges, rather than one row at a time.
- 09Reading it as a system
- 04
Communicate
Turn a page of numbers into a short plan, with priorities the runner can act on.
- 12From findings to a plan
Not ready to be assessed? The reference library at /learn is open to everyone, and the course material the Academy teaches from is the same material in long form.
